Really inspired by these mixed media digital collages by Sinead Leonard. Not only are they splendid and stunning to the visual eye but they also portray a sense of power in the female form.

I may have to try and create something similar for my final project.

MAY STYLE UPDATE

Looking for Spring that will never come...

My own personal style is pretty much all over the place right now, maybe because so is the weather. It's come to a point where its a 'chuck- on- anything- you - can - find- out of the- wardrobe and - GO!', because final year deadlines take no prisoners! Here's a little summary of pieces and styles i'm going for in May, rain or no rain. Trend or no trend.

A couple of snaps of some recent spendatures. I haven't bought much just lately as I put myself on a spending ban, didn't last long hence the two new jumpers and pair of boots. I have been looking for some taupe/beige boots cowboy style for a while, going to team them with some vintage Levis and a long spaghetti strap top when the sun eventually arrives. Until then, its lightly knitted oversize jumpers in spring pastels all the way!

Might be a easy come easy go trend, yet i'm obsessed with the neon yellow/lime that has been gracing the glossies for a while now.

Transparency and Monochrome, the two combined is classic, simple and sophisticated.

ADA KOKOSAR: IMPECCABLE

I have been conducting a hell of a lot of research on Italian style for my final university project (scary, yes!) but the most beautiful part about it is that I get to look at style like this all day...

The first few images represent Italian Stylist Ada Kokosar, and an example of her iconic work. The male outfits represent Luca Rubinacci, an Italian style icon. Whilst working on a project for design led and tailored brand Reiss I have become more accustomed to males dressing with utmost consideration in tailored suits. Of course, I still like to see guys dressed like they have just walked out of a 1990's grunge indie gig (please no chinos!) however I'm more than happy to see guys who take pride in dressing Italian smart once every so often.
