LIU WEN by GREG KADEL for VOGUE

Liu Wen in “Wild Dreams” photographed by Greg Kadel and styled by Katie Mossman for Vogue Germany November 2010.

This multi textural shoot is pure amazing, apart from the fact that I just want all the key pieces for myself. The styling is crazy and in some ways wrong, yet it breaks rules and thats what I love about these set of photographs. Its fur and tassle extravagence, yet with sharp tailoring it gives the styling a subtle edge to stop any feelings of being overwhelmed by floaty and feather like fur.

Eclectic Boudoir.

My bedroom is my favourite place on earth. It's where I keep my most treasured items, presents, gifts, things that hold memories and of course my beloved clothes and shoes. I often sit in my room for inspiration, as it is beaming with colour, sparkle, bright objects and beautiful patterns. I sometimes like to think I'm in Marrakech, with all the exotic jewel colours, golds and mirrors.
All the things in my bedroom mean alot to me because they either hold a memory or i've took time and customised them myself, with beads, paints or just throwing a necklace across a mirror or a mannequin to make it unique to my personality and tastes.
I'd love a pure white room with no colour, but I think I would get bored easily, yes it would be tranquil, peaceful and relaxing, but with so much colour, vibrance and energy in the room, inspiration, new ideas and imagination is never far away!

BANGLES

Matthew Williamson and Scott Wilson. A collaboration out of this world. Evocative, luxurious and definitely provocative, as they have certainly left me pining.  Its strange how the bangles can grace the utmost delicate arms of a fragile runway  model yet still look fantastic, they look like they belong there. Of course, in the eyes of Matthew Williamson, the collection has to have lustre and shine, which fits in with the mesmerizing shimmering spheres.

Jack & Jil Blog

Going to make a mental note to check Jack & Jil blog more often after I found these beauties on there. They look fierce!! Oh how I love studs, studs, studs.

Pay Day Treats: This Week.

Blazer: River Island
Leather Look Leggings: Topshop
Animal Print Chiffon Blouse: Topshop
Ribbed Grey & White tube Skirt: Topshop
Other: COW Vintage denim shorts, maybe in white not sure. && Lots of Jewellery.

Note to Self:

I am going to keep a sketchbook full of ripped out images, key trends, patterns and prints and key colours, illustrated and cut outs or print
         outs. Going to start tommorow.

RIVER ISLAND:THIS WINTER

River Island AW11 definitely has it for me this winter. It feels like the prints that I have adored this summer have been implemented into key winter pieces (Chunky knits, Ponchos, Leggings), and I cannot wait to rock them up with suede, leathers and wool. I already have the Parka coat too! One thing I am not too sure about is the straight legged jeans, I dont think I'm going to be able to give up my Topshop Leigh ultra skinnies just yet!

Looks I Love This Week

Back to black. Nothing looks more sleek than the true darkness itself, splashed with a snazzy print or a quirky colour (yellow). The oversized hat adds shape to what could be an uninteresting outfit, alongside the spot of leopard print. Just like the padded shoulders of the leather jacket, structure is shape.

Shoes, OH beautiful Shoes.

Jeffrey Campbell is all over LOOKBOOK.NU, and I want a piece.

The Look.

Kinda obsessed with embellishment, fur, studs, zainy pattern prints, and midrift showing tops. Oh and also anything that looks as if its something or another from the far east. Good job fur and embellishment is going to be a big hit AW11.

When Payday comes...

This pure bliss Urban Outfitters pencil skirt will be making its way to my wardrobe!

Tumblr Blogs Lookin' Good- It's all the things I love in life.

Style Shot.

Oop, yesterdays outfit today. It was all about colour blocking. A burnt orange silky pocket top (surprisingly from Primark), and a turquoise (picture doesn't do the colour any justice) silk maxi, split up with a black and gold rope belt, paired with Topshop tan clogs, (which you've probably seen a post about before!)

Sunday 10 July 2011

Style Shot.

Start the Sunday off with an outfit. Todays outfit I have chose to go casual, a rock aztec print vest, vintage Levi denim high waists, and some quirky yellow bangles and nail polish. Might team it with a grey/silver blazer if it gets slightly nippy!
