NASTY GAL:OH MY

Just found this American brand being advertised on Lookbook.nu. I am loving the styles they have put together and wish it was my wardrobe! I love how to show the product they have photographed the model in the outfit that can be teamed with that product, such a great way to get customers outfit inspiration rolling and also a great way of 'online' merchandising.

OFFICE:BRAND MAGAZINE

I was flicking through Office's new brand magazine showcasing everything from what's cool or fool in music to what sort of food and nibbles you should be eating this season, not to mention where you should be seen on the social front. Most brand magazines focus literally on what the brand sells and the product, however Office have done a great job in mixing all medias of life into one booklet to create more than a brand experience.

Fools Gold.

Watching the live shows and skimming through the endless photographs and video clips, one trend that caught my eye over LFW SS12 is gold, metallics and shimmer patterns. Almost anything goes with shimmer dust. Topshop unique craved lustre and shine and Michael Van Der Ham dabbled in it too. Burberry sprinkled gold flakes onto their runway and A child of the Jago menswear paved their catwalk in gold glitter.
I scoured Lookbook.nu to find some key looks that were my fave to relate to this trend and tommorow I am going to piece some of my own outfits together from 'Gold Dust' in my wardrobe!! Oh it's my favourite colour.

Projection.

Teddy Boy v's Rude Boy: ASH STYMEST.
Not sure who the photographer is in any of these shots, but I like em.

The mermaid trend.

The BOOT.

When seeing this boot by JEN KAO for their AW11 collection I simply couldn't help but place it straight into a trend dedicated and inspired by the trend of mermaids. Besides the colours, the effect of the layering simply represents the way a mermaid's scales fall on her tail. Futuristic goddess Lady Gaga also plays on this trend (exageration part one) using over the top dazzle headresses, which every mermaid in the atlantic ocean would be highly envious of, a headress trend that can be seen on all types of catwalks all over the world.

Tata Naka:

I love Tata Naka's brand website. (I first caught a glimpse of their live modelling on the backlash of the business of London Fashion Week). It is set in the style of a magazine, and as you would see a contents page, the website contents page shows the different sectors of the website. I think it's such a cool way of presenting the way a brand works and all aspects of what the brand wants you to see.
Not only that but the graphics are bold, attention seeking yet simplistic with a quirky edge. The front cover also makes a statement; the monochrome styling of the models contrasting gowns against the colourful printed logo looks startling and shouts for your eyes to look at every aspect of it. I know one thing though, I am definately going to keep track of this brand from now on.

FRESH SHIT.

Bought some new 'swag' (in other words, new clothes) the other day so thought I would share a few images with you seeing as it's what I do, (sometimes). I've started to implement abit of AW11 into my flurry of beautiful bright SS11 wardrobe. Therefore I have gone for, Burberry Studs, and a spark of glitter and shine, as favoured by Michael Van Der Ham.
